Leah, James, and Everything Else

Leah is such a sweet girl.  She pours out empathy, loves being the older sister, and has a memory so sharp it's unbelievable.  Within minutes she can turn an absolutely spotless room into a disaster-zone full of pretend stations and forts that are set in specific order.  And when two younger brothers come through like bulls in a china shop she does her very best to roll with the game.  Through this whole process I'm worried about her as she will hold tightly to these feelings.

Please pray that she's able to ask the questions that are weighing her down, and that she will be distracted when needed.  And also that she would be able to understand why her younger brother is getting so much attention and that she wouldn't feel selfish needing attention herself.

Isaac.  You don't need much of a rundown on what's going on in his life, but I don't want to skip over who he is.  He's a tough little dude.  We were just talking today about how he's cruising around with a limp that would have debilitated Leah.  I giggle just thinking about some of her owies.  He's constantly joking around (just ask him, "Are you playing the repeating game?" and you'll have a blast) and playing superheroes.  Just today he was telling me about Ultron and his Sentinels.  What!?!?!  Also, he hates getting wet and isn't really a fan of band-aids.  As much as he's a little bulldozer he's very weirdly particular.

James is learning the whole world so fast.  More than any of our kids he seems fearless (as long as mom is in sight).  He's constantly striving to be a part of the fun and get mixed up in whatever is going on in the house.  Just this last week he has stopped needing to nurse from mommy which is so much younger than any of our other kids.  It's another reminder that God has us in His hands.

Please pray that James would be able to be separated from Mom as needed.  That neither of their hearts would absolutely ache and worry about the other, but that they'd both be excited when they reconnected.  Pray that he would sleep and eat well in abnormal places, and that he wouldn't find any needles or crazy germs on the floor of the hospital!
