Hello to all our Facebook friends and family and prayer warriors. Isaac's first real check-up is happening on Monday the 13th at 7:00 am. He'll be getting an MRI, CT Scan and they'll be checking his blood in order to look for any signs of cancer.
My feeling is this will be the most important day post chemo treatment. His type of tumor was fast growing. They tell us that every day that goes by with no sign of cancer decreases the chances that it shows up next day. Also, we've noticed some hair growing on his knees that looks a little out of the ordinary. If that showed up on a “normal” kid, we probably wouldn't think anything of it, but with Isaac's previous condition it would be an understatement to say we're on high alert.
I'd ask any and all of you to join us in spirit for a prayer time at noon this Saturday. We'll be gathering close family and friends to beg our Father for continued healing, peace, hope, and life; for wisdom from the doctors and safety during his procedures on Monday; for a gentleness in spirit and the words to speak into Isaac's mind and heart and soul.
If you want to crash our place you're probably invited, but I do want to play gatekeeper a bit. Just ask if you feel that would be appropriate. But even if you don't make it to our home please spend 5 or 10 minutes in quiet praying to Abba, Yahweh, King.
Thanks for standing and kneeling with us during this journey.
